04 Nov Commercial Transformation
Objective
To transform an outdated, nondescript reception area into a contemporary space that announces the status of the company and communicates that they are players in the global market.
Solution
Choosing to honor the company’s work in steel fabrication, Lorraine sought to interject the space with spun, fabricated and extruded metals. Three massive photography panels were featured on an enormous wall while a custom-designed glossy white desk was installed with a stainless steel grid to mimic the pattern in the floor. Lorraine kept colors to a minimum, working in charcoal, grey, black and white; contemporary Italian visitors’ chairs upholstered in bold orange wool provide the only jolt of color. The client described the finished project as “magnificent,” and “a broad, bold reflection of his growing company.”
